This Refund Policy explains how LN Tourism Private Limited processes refunds for cancelled or unused travel services. It applies together with the Terms & Conditions and the Payment & Cancellation Policy. Because our itineraries combine independent suppliers (hotels, transport, helicopter operators, ticketing and activity providers), the amount refundable depends primarily on what is actually recoverable from those suppliers, less applicable charges, and on the timing of the cancellation.
1. How refunds are calculated
When a confirmed booking is cancelled, any refund is calculated as: amounts received minus (a) supplier/operator cancellation charges actually levied, (b) non-refundable components already committed, (c) applicable taxes/gateway charges where non-recoverable, and (d) the cancellation charges set out in the Payment & Cancellation Policy. We pass on the recoverable balance; we do not profit from cancellations.
2. Non-refundable components
Some components are non-refundable once booked or once the supplier deadline passes. Unless your quotation states otherwise, these typically include:
- ·confirmed non-refundable hotel nights and peak-season blocks;
- ·helicopter tickets and air/rail tickets (governed by the operator's rules);
- ·special permits, VIP darshan and pre-purchased entry tickets;
- ·customised arrangements already committed (decorations, events, special meals);
- ·payment-gateway/bank charges where these are not returned to us.
3. Cancellation timing
Refund amounts reduce as the travel date approaches, because supplier commitments increase. The cancellation charge slabs and no-show rules are defined in the Payment & Cancellation Policy and are applied when computing your refund. Cancellations must be requested in writing (email/WhatsApp) and take effect from the time we receive and acknowledge them.
4. Force majeure & route closures
If a trip is disrupted by events beyond reasonable control (weather, landslides, road/route closures, government orders, strikes, epidemic/pandemic restrictions, natural calamities), we make reasonable efforts to reschedule or arrange alternatives. Any refundable amount in such cases depends on sums actually recoverable from the relevant suppliers and applicable law. Where we hold a re-usable credit with a supplier, we will offer rescheduling wherever possible.
5. Helicopter & third-party tickets
Kedarnath and similar helicopter services and air/rail tickets are operated/ticketed by independent parties. Their cancellation and refund rules (and timelines) apply. Where such a service is cancelled by the operator or authorities, LN Tourism assists you with the applicable supplier refund process; we cannot expand a supplier's refund beyond its own policy.
6. Unused services
Voluntarily unused services - missed sightseeing, skipped meals, unused transport, early checkout, late arrival or leaving the tour early - are not automatically refundable. Where a supplier allows a partial refund, we process the recoverable amount.
7. Refund mode & timelines
- ·Approved refunds are made to the original payment method or a bank account you confirm in writing.
- ·We initiate eligible refunds promptly after supplier charges are confirmed; the amount and time also depend on supplier settlement and bank/gateway processing.
- ·We keep you informed of the recoverable amount and status. Statutory consumer timelines, where applicable, are honoured.
8. How to request a refund
Email info@lntourism.com or message +91 88588-73018 with your booking reference, the service(s) affected and your reason. We acknowledge the request, compute the recoverable amount against supplier rules, and communicate the outcome. Nothing in this policy waives any non-waivable statutory consumer right; a mandatory legal right prevails over any conflicting term. Governed by the laws of India, Dehradun jurisdiction subject to applicable consumer-protection rights.
